This December join the author of the book Tango, Tarot y Terapia on his discovery of a hidden gem of South America: Uruguay. You will find beautiful theaters, bookstores, cafes, restaurants and parks in the Latin American city frequently called the Switzerland of South America.
You will have the chance to talk with local actors, historians, writers and other influencial experts on the culture of Uruguay and Argentina.
Travel to Buenos Aires, during a week. It is worldwide known as the capital of Tango. It is a charming city, full of coffee shops and delicious “medialunas” (croissants). This city is also related it to a European city, in this case it is called the Paris of South America.
Dr. Frederic Conrod, promises in this program, to enter the analysis of the Rioplatense culture and compare it with that of his hometown: Paris. There are many similarities, but also contrasts that will make the classes very entertaining.
The dynamics of the course will be to discuss the book Tango, Tarot y Terapia, watch specific films with a cultural message and have discussions and debates.
The Catholic University of Uruguay will recognize the credits of the course and will issue the transcripts to be presented at the home university of each student participating in the program.
There will be 42 hours of class in total and endless complementary academic and cultural activities to take advantage of the cities visited.
